Terms of use
Last updated: November 6, 2026
The short version:
Pluckr is an add-on for Google Docs and Google Slides. It extracts, downloads, and converts images from the document where you open it. Apps Script reads the document images and makes the downloads of original images. Your browser converts the images.
Pluckr is free for up to 50 images for each Google account. Pro is a one-time purchase. Use Pluckr only with content that you are authorized to access. We give the Service “as is”, without warranty.
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of Pluckr and the docpluckr.com website. Pluckr is the Google Docs and Google Slides add-on. Pluckr and the website together are the “Service”.
If you use the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What the Service is
Pluckr opens in a sidebar in Google Docs or Google Slides.
- In Docs, Pluckr reads the inline images in the current document. This includes images in tables and in nested document tabs.
- In Slides, Pluckr reads the pictures on the slides of the current presentation. This includes grouped pictures.
Pluckr can show image previews and details. It can copy or download images. It can convert images to AVIF, WebP, JPEG, or PNG. You can set the quality and the maximum width for the conversion.
Pluckr can also add alt text files and a Markdown version of the document to a download. When you confirm it, Pluckr can edit the alt text of an image. It can also replace the images of the document with smaller copies.
Pluckr does not extract floating images or images in headers, footers, or footnotes at this time.
Apps Script reads image data from the current document. It makes ZIP downloads of original images. When you convert images, the sidebar draws and converts them in your browser.
Pluckr asks for access to the current document only. Pluckr edits the content of the document in only two cases:
- You save the alt text of an image.
- You choose Optimize Doc images and confirm it. Pluckr then replaces the images in the open document with smaller copies. Each copy has the same size on the page.
Before you use Optimize Doc images, make a copy of the document. Google Docs version history can also restore an earlier version. You are responsible for the result.
Pluckr is free for up to 50 images for each Google account, in total, in all of your files. An image counts when you copy or download it, and it counts once. You can see every image and its preview before that. Bulk rename, alt text editing, output settings, Optimize, Markdown export and Save to Drive need a paid license. Pluckr checks your license with its license service. It uses your Google account email address for this check. The Privacy Policy describes the check.
Price, license and payment
- Price. Pluckr Pro is a one-time purchase of $12 USD. Taxes that we calculate at checkout are extra. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
- What you get. You get one license for one Google account. The license lasts for as long as Pluckr is on offer.
- Payment. Polar (polar.sh) processes the payments. Polar handles your payment details. The terms of Polar apply to the purchase. We do not receive your card details.
- License. Your license is personal. You cannot transfer it. It belongs to the Google account that you bought it with. You can use it on any device where you sign in with that account. Do not share or resell it.
- Refunds. You can ask for a refund within 14 days of the purchase. To do this, email support@docpluckr.com. Polar processes the refund. After a refund, your license ends.
- Price changes. If we change the price, the change does not affect licenses that you already bought.
License checks and availability
Pluckr checks your license with its license service when you open it. If the license service is not available, Pluckr is not usable until the check is complete. The same is true if your internet connection is not available.
We try to keep the Service available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Your Google account and your documents
Google can ask you to authorize Pluckr to access the current document. Pluckr then reads the inline images of the document and makes the downloads. Pluckr also asks for your Google email address and account identity. Pluckr uses them to make sure that your license is valid.
You are responsible for your right to access and use the document and its images. You can stop your use of Pluckr at any time. You can also revoke its authorization in the permissions of your Google Account.
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle information that we receive from Google. The Google API Services User Data Policy governs the use of information that Pluckr receives from Google APIs. This includes its Limited Use requirements.

Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent that the law permits, Pluckr and its contributors will not be liable for these types of damages:
- indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages
- loss of data, files, or profits that arise from your use of the Service
This applies even if someone advised us that such damages are possible.
Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount that you paid for your license. This limit applies to the extent that the law allows.
Changes to the Service and these Terms
We can change or discontinue the Service at any time. We can change all of it or part of it. We can also update these Terms.
When we update the Terms, we will change the “Last updated” date. If you continue to use the Service after the updated Terms take effect, you accept them.
Termination
You can stop your use of the Service at any time. To do this, close or uninstall Pluckr and revoke its authorization.
We can suspend or end a license if you break these Terms. An example is a license that you share or resell.
